Ankush is a young man who recently won a gold medal in the Indian National Special Olympics Football championships in Calcutta. He loves sport! ROSHNI's involvement with the Gwalior Special Olympics group has enabled him and his friends at the centre to participate in sporting events all over the country for the first time.

Ankush has Downs Syndrome, and attends ROSHNI daily to learn functional literacy and numeracy skills, as well as vocational skills such as typing, gardening and hand printing greetings cards.

His sister was so inspired by the work of ROSHNI, she trained to be a special needs teacher, and is now one of the teaching staff at the centre.
