Our 6th Friends of ROSHNI UK Weekend in the Lakes

4-6 th July 2014

After the great fun we’ve had over the last few years, we have booked another weekend for us all, for 4-6th July 2014.

In previous years we’ve walked the fells and wandered through woodland besides the lakes and rivers. Some explored the beautiful Borrowdale valley on foot or by bike, some paddled canoes on the lake. Some swam in the beautiful emerald pools of our mountain stream. Some tried rock climbing.  We cooked and ate meals together and in the summer evenings enjoyed a song or two around a blazing bonfire.

We will stay once more at High House, an old farmhouse now converted to a climber’s hostel. Sleeping is in 3 dormitories. It has washrooms, showers and a new kitchen. It is the last building in the valley, beyond Seathwaite farm, surrounded by fields, fells and waterfalls. Keswick, with its many shops and cafes, is only 20 minutes drive away.

We have the experience and equipment to take you walking, scrambling or rock-climbing, with perhaps cycling or canoeing for some. Or, if you prefer, you can just relax, do nothing, and relish the tranquility!

If you are interested but don’t know what to expect or to bring, we will provide all the information and advice you need well in advance.

The cost, including all meals and drinks (but not alcohol) will be £60 per person for Friday to Sunday.  Young children will be charged less so please enquire for further information.

If you think that you might enjoy this weekend ‘away from it all’ please contact us. We will take bookings for 25 people and most places are already taken. It’s first come, first served, so book fast!

The offer is not restricted to FoR UK members – friends are welcome too!
